Luckily you can re-read noted found along the way,I got frustrated sometimes about the puzzles, but it was a lot of stubborness to try solve it on my own instead of using the hints.. It was a realy nice first person puzzel game, with a intresting story! The puzzles where challenging and, unlike other games where the game do the puzzel for you, you hade to think for yourself! The muisc is spot on like the voice actors! Realy great job there. The graphic is charming, beautiful and sometimes a bit scary, with exelent lighting! This is not a game you just run throu and put away. This is a game you take your time, think about it, play for a bit, take a break and the contiue. If you are looking for a narrative driven puzzle game, this is the game for you.It reminds me of "The Turing Test" or "Q.U.B.E", but I liked the narrative here better.. After about 6 hours, I've just completed all the achievements for this game. Lake Ridden is a mystery puzzle game that focuses a lot on atmosphere and mood, but is still challenging in places.Best parts:- Great scenery, including suitably spooky weather which changes throughout the game- Interesting and challenging puzzles with a good hint system- A large area to explore with lots of lore to discoverMinor complaints:- Some secondary puzzles are reused past the point where they're interesting, particularly the "puzzle boxes"- There is one puzzle that amounts to "read the developer's mind" - i.e. guess semi-randomly until you get the answer- At a couple of points the "atmospherically dark" lighting reaches the point of "I can't see anything at all"- The open world portion has no map and few shortcuts, so there's more than a little annoying backtracking, especially in the middle of the game- Game lags noticeably when you enter a new area- While the game saves all the lore notes during a session, it doesn't keep them if you close the game and reload, which is a shame - I wanted to go through and try and discover all the letters..
